These are the costs to complete a real estate transaction. These costs are in addition to the price of the home and the down payment. They include points, taxes, title insurance, financing costs, items that must be prepaid or escrowed, commissions if you are a seller, etc.  Your lender will provide a complete list of closing cost items if you are a buyer. Your real estate agent and escrow agent can provide you with a list if you are a seller.
