Choosing the right neighborhood comes with an extensive list of pros and cons. My husband and I have experienced it firsthand, from choosing the right schools for our girls to finding a community that fits our needs at different stages of our lives here in Oregon.
We have lived in four different states and three different countries. I have certainly also been there with every client that I have worked with over the last 30 years in the business.
I love the options that exist when choosing the right neighborhood in the Oregon real estate market. When looking for the right location for a family compound, Oregon is filled with plenty of beautiful places. We explored many of them, including Central Oregon, the Oregon Coast, even Eastern Oregon. We were all drawn to the Columbia Gorge for so many reasons. Hood River and Mosier were both places that we instantly felt good about. I honestly love it more and more every day!
I love the views, the small-town feel, the food. I love all of the farms and wineries that surround us. Biking here is unbelievable. Our property has gorgeous views of Mt. Hood, which sits at the top of a hill at the end of a small road. With almost eight acres, it gives us the privacy we wanted as well as space to roam. We have a cherry orchard, apple trees and a slightly overgrown pear orchard that we will be bringing back to life next year. These are just a few aspects that played a part in choosing the right neighborhood.
While I did not love much about the house, the setting was perfect. I could see the possibilities and how well the home was built. I took my own advice, because almost everything about a house can be changed except its location. It’s more important to look for the right location when choosing the right neighborhood. Almost everything about a house can be changed except its location! Boy have we made changes!
There is a beautiful location here for you, and I’d love to help you find it! Send me an email or give me a call, firstname.lastname@example.org | 541.728.1143
